Hot, dry, windy and unstable conditions will yield critical fire weather conditions. Rapid fire spread will be possible from any new start focusing through western, southern and cenral NM. #NMwx #NMFire

High based showers producing little to no rain (virga) will induce strong erratic gusty winds across parts of western and central NM Monday afternoon. These gusts will be capable of kicking up dust and blowing around light weight objects with little to no warning from preceding rainfall.
